Bharat Ane Nenu Review : (3.5/5.0)

Mahesh’s most anticipated political drama Bharat Ane Nenu releasing today across the globe. Since Srimantudu combo getting repeated, expectations were high on this movie.Mahesh termed this as one of his finest performances., Let’s see if Bharat Ane Nenu stands up to those statements.

Release date: April 19th, 2018 (USA)
DirectorKoratala Siva
Star Cast: Mahesh Babu, Kiara Advani, Prakash Raj, Brahmaji And Others
Music composed by Devi Sri Prasad
ProducerD.V.V. Danayya

Story: Bharat(Mahesh), son of AP CM Raghava Rao(Sharat Kumar) is a knowledge seeking youngster who studies abroad. He travels back from London on his father’s sudden demise. He swears in as CM on Party President and his family well wisher Varadarajulu(Prakash Raj) advice.
What reformations he does in the state and what hurdles he faces as CM forms crux of the story.

Analysis: Like many Mahesh’s films Bharat Ane Nenu too belongs to the superstar. His attitude, looks, mannerisms everything was a thing to look out for. As a handsome and aggressive CM, Mahesh delivered another good performance.

The story is simple and straight like Sekhar Kammula’s leader. Koratala’s script and the narration were not as crisp n entertaining as his earlier films. This time he tried to make a political drama without much mess of commercial elements. But the screenplay failed to create much interest.

Koratala revolved his story in hero elevation alone than showcasing CM’s wit in addressing the problems.Bharat Ane Nenu could have been a much better film if he concentrated on one issue than linking many complex threads.

He touched Disproportionate Assets case, Traffic, Healthcare, Media’s enthusiasm, Civic Sense., and so on..!But apart from few sparks, nothing was convincing!

CM Bharat coming back into CM’s race in last half an hour with public’s anger on their local MLA’s seems completely fabricated and unnatural.Few scenes like this reduced movie range itself.

Kiara is pretty and decent in her role. She has a very limited role but important. Aamani, Sharat Kumar, Sitara were brief and good in their roles.

Prakash Raj got meaty role after Mahesh. His versatility can be seen once again. Ravi Shankar, Ajay, Posani, Surya, and others did their bit.

On the final note., Bharat Ane Nenu is a definite watch for Mahesh’s Brilliance and Koratala’s few sparks.

Bottom Line: Aggressive CM Bharat Impresses., Koratala Didn’t!
