Analysis: Anger issues, Army man, and A Social Message!! Naa Peru Surya story must have sounded great on paper. Maybe that’s what excited both Bunny and Nagababu to take this up under their home banner.
But barring few fight sequences and few electrifying glimpses of Allu Arjun’s hard work., there is nothing much to rave about “Naa Peru Surya” when it came on screen.Started on a ferocious note., Surya character promises a good message oriented movie. As soon as we tune to that., the movie turns average with a routine love track and pretty average songs.
With a high octane action scene again movie seems right on track at the interval.Later the second half suffers from below average screen play. And Iraga Iraga song was a total disappointment and comes as a tough nut at the end.
Allu Arjun excelled as an angry army man. His macho look and serious attitude were the only grace of the movie.
Anu Emmanuel neither has looks nor have the screen presence to be a big film heroine.Arjun, Nadia, Sarath Kumar, Sai Kumar, Thakur and Rao Ramesh impressed in their roles.
Songs are a big set back for this film. Apart from Lover Also and Sainika., remaining songs were too average on screen too.
Production values were good.Nagababu once again has chosen a right script but stars didn’t work much in favor of him.
Vakkantham Vamsi, the captain of the ship impresses in bits. His narrations go high n falls suddenly flat. He needs to work on this to be a successful director. Maybe Allu and team sensed this while working. Thus bunny gave all the movie’s credit to director in the pre-release event.
On the final note., Naa Peru Surya which has the caliber to be a superhit turned as an average flick with a poor screenplay and predictable story. Watch it for Bunny’s angry outing and to witness few good action sequences.
Bottomline: Bunny’s Hard Work Gone Waste In An Average Flick!
